1. Who we are

teemeup.ai ("teemeup", "we", "us", or "our") is an AI-powered golf planning platform. We operate the website at teemeup.ai and the teemeup mobile application. teemeup.ai is a service operated by Shank Tech Inc., registered at 100 Millpond Plantation Way, Warner Robins, GA 31088. 2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly and information generated when you use our service:

  • Account data: name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
  • Contact & communication data: your email address and phone number are used to send booking confirmations, tee-time reminders, and service notifications via SMS, WhatsApp, or other messaging channels you opt into. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time; transactional messages (e.g. booking confirmations) cannot be disabled while your account is active.
  • Profile data: handicap index, home club, preferred tee times, budget preferences, and playing history you choose to share.
  • Booking data: tee time bookings, course selections, payment references (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Conversation and usage data: the content of your chat and voice conversations with the assistant, search history, feature interactions, and device/browser information. Your conversation history is kept so that the assistant can continue where you left off and so you can see your past bookings in one place.
  • Voice data: when you use the voice assistant, we process audio captured from your device microphone in order to transcribe your request and generate a response. Audio is captured only while the voice assistant is active — never in the background. We use the audio and its transcript to answer you and to improve the quality of the assistant.
  • Location data: with your permission, we use your device's approximate location to show you golf courses near you when you search. We only access your location while the app is open and in use, and we do not collect location in the background.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, personalise, and improve the teemeup service.
  • Process tee time bookings and send booking confirmations, tee-time reminders, and status updates via email and SMS/messaging to the phone number you provide.
  • Operate the AI assistant: the content of your chat and voice conversations is processed by our AI provider in order to understand your request and generate a response (see "How we share your information").
  • Improve our own recommendations and service quality, using anonymised, aggregated data only.
  • Send product updates and early access announcements (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

  • AI providers — we share the content of your chat and voice conversations, and where relevant your booking context, with a third-party AI provider acting as our processor, solely to generate assistant responses. Your conversations are not used to train third-party models.
  • Course booking partners (GolfNow, Chronogolf, TeeOff, and others) — only the data needed to complete a booking.
  • Service providers acting on our behalf (cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery) under strict data processing agreements.
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of teemeup and its users.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Booking records are retained for seven years for tax and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your profile data at any time via support@teemeup.ai.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@teemeup.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) and regularly test our systems for vulnerabilities. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

teemeup is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
